About

My name is Daniel. I am a software developer working for software development company called Potentiality. At times I write articles about personal development because I like sharing ideas I have learned from others. I gain inspiration from many people such as Steve Pavlina, Buddha, Bruce Lee and a few people that I meet throughout my life.

Articles that I publish on this blog aim to add some level of self awareness to people who have a large ego and help them to be able to break free from its grip. Experiencing its daily fluctuations in myself helps me to understand certain approaches, tips and techniques that treat the ego problem, but not completely curing it. Perhaps one day I will be able to transcend it and examine under the microscope of the mind, but until then the battle will be ongoing and fierce.

Other articles may feature documentaries or brief description about running experiments on myself in order to determine the difference. So far I have discovered advantages of being a vegetarian and will soon be testing both sides of the vegan coin.My nickname – Acolyte – was adopted in countless hours of computer games that I have happily abandoned not too long ago, and describes my approach to life – be an ever learning and eager apprentice of a master or magician, whom I am yet to find. Literally meaning “mage’s apprentice”, it is my inspiration and a way of life where many things are ever changing and only selected few are accepted as pillars.

Working in IT for a few years and being with computers pretty much for half of my life, I managed to overcome my obsession with it and am now actively pursuing other industry’ business venues and opportunities, however always on the lookout at how it can be automated or improved with the aid of IT technologies.
